Wabi sabi is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted purse charm by Fox & Fable, made with vintage jade/jadite, Czech glass, and wood.

The story

Walking on the beach today, the thought comes to you again and again. The work of time and nature is to soften, to build luster. The dynamic forms of driftwood, the smoothness of wind-rounded stones, the soft edges of sea glass. There is nothing more lovely. Later, in the mirror, you see it reflected in your own face. Freckle, scar, wrinkle: Signs that you have loved the world and it has loved you back.

The making

This hand-tied piece is a meditative answer to the pressure of perfectionism. A khaki-toned vintage pendant with an Asian design hangs slightly off-center on a peacock colored strand. Above it, worn wooden beads and two-toned Czech flowers represent the blooming of beauty in unexpected places.
