The story

It's been a long day, so, halfway through the climb, you navigate the slick rocks to slip into the gold green pool. As it rises up your sinking body, cool from the heights of Haleakala, the water soothes your hot skin, brings you back to balance. Afternoon light warms your cheeks, colorful birds flit in and out of the lush greenery, and the air smells like flowers, like fresh, green things.
