Springtime, and the clouds build up, blotting out the golden sun, which has just recently begun to heat up the days. Now is the time for galoshes and umbrellas, for dashing to the car or bus or train. The scent of rain rises, earthy and sweet. Worms abandon themselves to the sidewalk. The drops come heavy, steady, brining renewal. You reach out a hand. For the first time in a long time, the rain is not icy, but warm. As the shower slows, you pull off your shoes and galoshes, laughing and splashing your feet in generous puddles.
In this one-of-a-kind purse flair, sparkling crystals emanate from two clouds (one a labradorite and the other a rainbow moonstone). A handmade ceramic umbrella charm, sourced from an artist in Scotland, softens the rainfall. Below, swing three strands made up of shimmering Miyuki Delica beads and stardust rondelles in pure sterling silver. The center strand terminates with a labradorite raindrop, representing the life-giving water settling into the earth; the strands on either side feature cheerful Czech glass blossoms.
*One of a kind (unless I'm able to source some very special beads in the future).
Designed to dangle from a handbag, tote, or anything you like!
Length is approximately 4.5 inches. Shown with: My trusty Rough & Tumble Small Jenny in Tourmanline.
